  I felt like I was starving after doing a long day hike in the nearby Sam Houston National Forest. On my way home I decided to stop at this place to put off my drive back westward to College Station until the sun had completely set, and I am glad that I did. The burger is one of if not the best burger I have ever had. They have two local brews on tap that the bartender let me try before I chose one. The place is tiny with 5 or 6 bar stools and only a couple of booths. There is a small porch out back where apparently they have live music on the weekends. If you are hungry and driving through Richards I would highly recommend you stop at Hatfield's to enjoy the food, drinks, and the colorful conversation the locals and bartender provide.

  Possibly the best burger I've ever eaten. It tasted like a campfire (perfect)! The kettle chips and queso were also excellent. The employees were very cool. I highly recommend this place.
